A) ENS ecosystem round - Gitcoin GR15 - open questions

  • GR15 starts September 7th!
  • There are 25 returning and approximately 60 new grants.
  • Tags for the ENS Ecosystem round are actively being reviewed today.
    • If you haven’t submitted your grant to the airtable form, please do.
    • All tags are currently under review.
    • If your ENS tag is not assigned by tomorrow, reach out to Alisha by DM on Twitter.

    • Total matching available is 69k.
    • Max matching is 5% or $3,450.
    • No eligibility exclusion for lifetime contributions.
    • Max matching is 5%.

B) ENS Project Highlights

  • ENS Contract Naming System by premm.eth. Giving names to contracts using underbars names.
    • A contract naming system using _contract.eth will be a project submitted to ETHOnline. See Tweet.
    • The thought behind this project is that there should be an efficient way to name smart contracts. Underbar names such as _contract.eth could directly resolve to the contract address. This project would be implemented in an ENSIP. Reach out to premm.eth if you have any questions or would like to collaborate in the hackathon.

C) ENS core updates

  • No significant updates this week.
  • The team is still looking forward to Devcon Bogota.
    • The DAO has a roll call for the event in a forum post.
    • A Telegram channel is also available here.
  • ENS Name Wrapper doesn’t have any delays at the time of this call.
    • There should be an awareness that although this has passed the audit, the User Interface will be released in the new manager app.

D) Review any upcoming events with ENS involvement

  • The ETHOnline Hackathon is live now!
    • Direct your questions to the TNL DevRel, luc.eth, who can be contacted via Twitter.
    • The official kickoff stream is available to watch here.
    • There is 10k worth of prizes available from ENS.

E) Open space for other ecosystem-related topics

  • ENS Punks and 3402.eth hosted a Twitter space on Tuesday, September 6th at 12 PM PST on community awareness for the GR15 x ENS DAO.
  • Update from eth.limo
    • Now, the default in the ens app due to the eth. link
    • Caching is enabled on a 15min timer making loading faster.
    • They have hired another developer and are currently prepping for Gitcoin and expect to have a blog post out soon.
