My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

As an innovator, ENS has explored a new paradigm of Web3 landing. After the domain name of ENS is given programmability, the expansion of ENS is also full of imagination. At present, ENS is a subversive change to both the virtual world and the real world. This change is definitely a qualitative change of ā€œ1 + 1 > 2ā€. Therefore, the ENS ecosystem has unimaginable potential. I have 1 year of experience in community construction of various blockchain projects, especially in ecological construction on the Ethernet chain. I hope to be a member and contribute my strength.

My view on each section of the proposed ENS Constitution :

1.Name ownership is an absolute right: Agree

2.Registration fees exist as an incentive mechanism: Agree, but more like a disincentive to prevent users from simply sitting on names without using them.

3.Income funds ENS and other public goods: Agree

4.ENS Integrates with the global namespace: Agree

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I am a community leader and outspoken proponent of decentralization and encryped privacy as a basic right. Iā€™d like to help level the field by interacting with others to discover their true desires/needs/dislikes and transmute that through my voting power.

My view on each section of the proposed ENS Constitution

  • Name ownership shall not be infringed: +Agree+ (- i do believe there should rather be a mechanism that would pre-fix a domain with a tag indicating itā€™s not the original you may have known and trusted i.e. a.xxxxx.eth or maybe xxxxx.a.eth. -)
  • Fees are primarily an incentive mechanism: +Agree+ (- also, it helps create wider awareness since the tokenization itself creates a similar buzz to artistic NFTs -)
  • Income funds ENS and other public goods: +Agree+ (- I believe operational and the community at large should definitely be the ones who essentially reap the benefits through funded advancements and new developments. -)
  • ENS Integrates with the global namespace: +AGREE+ (- With a limited basic ā€˜centralizationā€™ act of utilizing strong, existing infrastructures, it will end up strengthening the overall end results decen acceptance and awareness. I ALSO believe that the global namespace should incorporate a way to simply search an address or Tx hash in the search bar, possibly with a post-fix or a browser that will support this, and the Etherscan page would appear. Just a thought as someone who works in crypto and has to constantly copy and paste, open new window or switch tab, click the bar etc.

My web3 qualifications / skills:
Currently, I work as a support team at MyEtherWallet and I literally can feel the community getting more educated the better I helped them and gave them tools to further their learning on their own. I also create generative NFTs using html/css for assets, and then .NET and C++ to generate them using the layered print method. I am extensively knowledgeable about all of the most used (and some niche) frameworks of the modern web like react, vue, OpenZep solidity contract writing, Eth/web3 integrations into such. Recently, I have teamed up with a fellow support team member and aiding in integrating the Ethereum source codes for swaps, transactions, gateways so Iā€™m educated in precisely how to create the new, interactive, emotionally competent and robust web3 experience. Iā€™d like to have an accepting and open minded outlet, Iā€™m hoping here, to find collaborators and create something mutually beneficial to all who embrace the new virtual frontier.

I believe ENS is pioneering a novel in identity and accessibility on the internet that puts end users in control of the infrastructure, instead of corporations. This is an approach that is worth devoting time to.

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I am frustrated by the cancel culture that has taken over ENS governance and I plan to work to change it.

My view on each section of the proposed ENS Constitution

  • Name ownership shall not be infringed: AGREE - I agree so much that Iā€™d like to work to ensure that there is no possible way that this right can ever be taken away. Cancel culture is real and we need to ensure that peoplesā€™ domains remain theirā€™s.

  • Fees are primarily an incentive mechanism: AGREE - ENS is a public utility and should never be converted to any sort of ā€œfor profitā€ enterprise.

  • Income funds ENS and other public goods: DISAGREE - ENS treasury should only be used for endeavors that will further the interests of ENS itself. ENS has lots of room to grow and we need to ensure the treasury will last us for decades to come.

  • ENS Integrates with the global namespace: AGREE - The goal of the project is to increase usability and integrating with DNS is the way forward.

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: ENS still the single most underrated project in the sphere, it has the potential to be cornerstone of the entire internet/crypto/metaverse/IDs/web3 and beyond, and I am going to help make that happen

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: Using ENS as my identity is intriguing to me. Identity is important where Iā€™m from. Your name is associated with a string of relationships and actions that the community can verify. As someone new to the scene, delegating to me ensures feedback and votes that will align with supporting the new user. As I learn more about the ENS DAO and itā€™s mission, I am empowered to contribute towards mass adoption and public goods.

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I have been an ENS user and public advocate for ENS since I first entered the space back in February of 2021. Purchasing my ENS domain was one of the first steps I took, and I fell in love with the potential this protocol has to improve the experience of not only using Ethereum but also of using the internet itself.

As a non-binary individual who has thought deeply about the concept of online identity and self-expression for many years, I believe I have a valuable perspective that is currently underrepresented in the web3 ecosystem and in the ENS ecosystem. In order to build a platform that will benefit as many humans as possible, we need more diverse voices and perspectives to be represented in the ENS DAO. I was encouraged to become a delegate by many people for several months, but I was undecided about it. Recently an anonymous wallet delegated over 100K ENS votes to me out of the blue, and it forced me to more seriously consider the idea of becoming a delegate formally. After much consideration, I have decided to do that.

Throughout my web3 career, I have been an educator focused on bridging the gap between normal people and crypto people. I have also not shied away from asking hard questions about the things we are building. Rather than being purely a web3 optimist, I also approach this industry and technology with a critical eye to ensure we donā€™t thoughtlessly go down a harmful path.

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: ENS is a critical piece of infrastructure for web3. It has been well architected and has traction. Its continued growth will accelerate adoption of crypto. I want to see ENS succeed.

Reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

  1. Here is the founders of ENSMAP, which is the community of crazy users of ENS, and we are proud of it. This community has a large number of members in Singapore and China.
  2. We know and love ENS, and we are very familiar with ENS technology.
  3. We have done a lot of things to promote the spread and use of ENS, including: establishing an active and high-quality ENS communication group, translating ENS documents, displaying ENS APP in Chinese, communicating and learning with the official team, etc. Thousands of people learn, register and use ENS because of what we do.
  4. ENS as web3 infrastructure, DAO is a very important part of it, and we hope to continue to participate in it. As for the DAO of ENS, we still have a lot of things to do, and maybe applying to be DAO delegate is the first step among them.

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I (Numbers) am a co-founder of rank.eth and only native English speaker among us so I will be representing both my project, and the concerns of those in the ENS Digits community.

While I have my own personal opinions on things (which are mostly shared by my co-founders), the subdomain delegations will be adjudicated with snapshot votes in the respective Digits communities. It is important niche communities band together to spend their influence on the issues they are most concerned with. As someone who stands to benefit greatly from these communities thriving, it is in our projectā€™s interest to respect the opinions of those communityā€™s wishes, and to bring them to the forefront of discussion in the ENS DAO.

  • Name ownership shall not be infringed:

Oppose in certain instances, but agree for the first ten years to allow terrestrial law to catch-up. Domain squatting, thefts, and edge cases (like sending a domain to null) need to be discussed.

  • Fees are primarily an incentive mechanism:

Agree in principle, but there are now too few protections for owners who lapse their registration.

  • Income funds ENS and other public goods:

Agree again, but ENS as a DAO should keep as small of a footprint as is necessary. It should not become the EU.

  • ENS Integrates with the global namespace:

Agree. We must pressure browser projects to provide support natively, and band together to educate future ENS users why Web 2.0 domains are inferior. It will be a long fight.

My web3 qualifications / skills:
I registered some of the first ENS names on the old registrar. I deployed mainnet contracts in 2016, and have worked on numerous NFT projects to preserve the rights of content creators, especially small time ones. My belief in Ethereum stemmed from my understanding of license, asset, and business contract tokenization the second a friend explained to me what smart contracts were in 2015.
