ENS DAO Delegate Applications

ENS name: mihal.eth

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

I’ve been a strong supporter of ENS for years, and built multiple applications using ENS in unique ways. One example is the Burner Wallet, which not only resolves ENS names, but actually had a plugin allowing users to register temporary ā€œburnableā€ ENS subdomains. I also built DeFi777, an application that uses ENS names and ERC777 tokens to simplify DeFi actions.

I believe my experience as a developer and experience developing on top of ENS will be relevant to the governance process. I’m particularly interested in guiding ENS’s efforts to make domain names more accessable on L2.

My view on each section of the proposed ENS Constitution

  • Name ownership is an absolute right: (Agree/Disagree/Comment)**

Enforcing a social contract of non-interference with the ownership of ENS names is the only way to deter influence of nation states and other large actors.

  • Registration fees exist as an incentive mechanism: (Agree/Disagree/Comment)**

Agreed

  • Income funds ENS and other public goods: (Agree/Disagree/Comment)**

I believe ENS income should primarily fund ENS and ENS-related projects.

  • ENS Integrates with the global namespace: (Agree/Disagree/Comment)

Strongly agree

My web3 qualifications / skills:

Smart contract engineer working in the Ethereum ecosystem for 4 years, on numerous projects.

Gas fees are insane right now, I’ll update my ENS records whenever gas prices drop
