ENS name: blakeburrito.eth
My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: Since getting involved in crypto (mid 2018, full-time since late last year) I quickly recognized the value in naming services and their contribution to making crypto more accessible. ENS is the leader in this space and a project whose values align with my own and I’ve supported for some time as a user.
My view on each section of the proposed ENS Constitution
Name ownership is an absolute right: AGREE, would support clearer language regarding regarding “unfairly discriminate” against users’ rights.
Registration fees exist as an incentive mechanism: AGREE
Income funds ENS and other public goods: AGREE
ENS Integrates with the global namespace: AGREE
My web3 qualifications / skills:
TL;DR Experienced user with availability & experience necessary to represent community on day 1.
Long time crypto/defi user, minted my first ENS name in Nov 2019. I’ve been involved in the proposal side of governance as a user and successfully managed DAO working groups charged with community representation in the past.
Working with DAOs has been my primary focus for about a year so I do this full time. I’ve never applied for a delegate role prior to this but have fulfilled the duties of one as a leading community member: reviewing proposals, relaying value to community, contributing to forum discussions, messaging strategies and informing on history of proposals, etc.
