My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

  • Name ownership is an absolute right: Agree Completely. Everyone should be able to establish a identity and presence in Web3.
  • Registration fees exist as an incentive mechanism: Agree that incentives are necessary to sustain the DAO and for mainintaing a healthy ENS ecosystem.
  • Income funds ENS and other public goods: Absolutely. The income should be used for public good, a charter not unlike that of Gitcoin DAO.
  • ENS Integrates with the global namespace: Fully agree. When a Ethereum address becomes the way we log into apps, interoperability between Web 2 and Web 3 will be of paramount importance. In any case, the way tech ecosystems evolve, we will have to find a way to interoperate with older paradigms.

**My web3 qualifications / skills: Am super passionate about Web 3 and have experimented as much as I can with various protocols. Have spent the past 15+ years with startups in silicon valley and love the promise and hope that innovation brings to Human well being.

ENS name: prysm.eth

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

Prysm, a web3 social investing platform, is delighted to apply to be an ENS DAO delegate. We want to accelerate the adoption and growth of ENS, the core building block of web3 social.

Weā€™re aligned with the mission of ENS and champion it as a core primitive for the decentralized social experience weā€™re creating at prysm. We consider its growth and adoption to be critical to empowering applications of Ethereum and to facilitate deeper connections between internet strangers.

**We have practical, applied insights to further ENS adoption to be the core building block of web3 social. ** We would love to share it with the world to accelerate the role of ENS in bringing people from all over the world together.

ENS name: balls.eth

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: Being a delegate would provide a great opportunity to spread the encouragement for and necessity of democratization and decentralization in web3. These principles must be constantly echoed in the community as we progress, and the ENS forming a DAO aligns with these principles. I would use this role to advocate for these principles to the widespread audience that the ENS has built.

ENS name: arqive.eth

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:
I am a young person and want to play an active role in what I believe to be the centerpiece of digital identity in the age of Web 3. (For privacy reasons, Iā€™ll keep it vague and just say that Iā€™m under 30.) The last few years have filled me with doubt about the worldā€™s future. Iā€™ve seen the world gripped by conflict and power hungry, autocratic ā€œleadersā€ who canā€™t help but make things worse for all but a select few. The only thing that has managed to fill me with hope is the acceleration of the NFT movement and Web 3. As the primary naming service on the block chain, ENS will play a crucial role in all things Web 3. As someone who isnā€™t technically fluent in the blockchain world, I see this as a unique chance for me to add value to the space. I am a member of MAYC because I believe BAYC will launch NFTs into the mainstream and drive adoption. Iā€™m a believer in ENS because I have conviction that in a world of avatars ā€œ.ethā€ will serve as the cornerstone of oneā€™s digital identity. I am committed to making it happen, and I humbly ask for your vote as ENS Delegate.

ENS name: flipsidecrypto.eth

My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: Flipside Crypto helps grow the crypto ecosystem through community-driven analytics and education. By providing analysts with free data and querying tools, our mission aligns with ENSā€™ goal of improving Ethereum through ownership and identity.

Flipside is multi-chained, supporting networks such as Ethereum, Polygon, Terra, & THORChain, with Arbitrum, Solana and many others on the way. Our Community-Enabled Analytics bounty programs support over 4,500 analysts, delivering on-demand insights across the ecosystem.

This expertise allows for shared knowledge of communities, liquidity, and user behavior across networks. We hope to rely on this information to better inform ENS governance votes and continue to build a competitive product.

We also have a dedicated Governance team, participating across protocols such as Aave, SushiSwap, Terra, and OlympusDAO, aimed at growing DAOs. We hope to bring this expertise, reputation, and full-time resources to ENS to improve governance and voting processes. By becoming an ENS delegate we expand our participation across DAOs and bring hands-on voting expertise, forum experience, and a robust teamā€¦

We hope to continue to build the future of crypto with ENS DAO and committed governance efforts.

**My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: ENS is one of the most important projects coming out of the web3 space. As a member of the developerdao and being a huge fan this space and technology in general, I want to be able to voice any concerns or show a vote of confidence for the developers who will be impacted by this project in the future through the votes that I maybe fortunate enough to collect. With domain names being a critical resource and tool in the development arsenal, I think itā€™s critical to be apart of this and grow with ENS overtime.

Like any other digital good, a username should be under the complete control and ownership of itā€™s respective owner. As someone who has been involved in the ā€œOGā€ username & domain community across many different platforms, Iā€™m eager for the days where ENS domains become a standard across the web.
