3. Borderless Africa updates with Yoseph Ayele (live from Thailand)

  • Building coordination layer for people in Africa building onchain
  • Magma Residency:
    • 2 weeks, 24 founders/builders from across Africa
    • 1/3 advanced, 1/3 earlier stage, 1/3 talented developers/researchers
    • Thanks so much for support to make residency happen
    • Will share final report when completed
  • Half of Magma community going to Devcon, highest African contingency in history, and thanks to support in providing scholarships
  • Throwing GM day: GM Day 🌏🌍🌎 · Luma
    • With Pagoda, an assembly of visionaries within the Ethereum community dedicated to enhance regional contributions and foster global collaboration
    • Will have after-party, stay tuned for more info
  • Building DAO: gov.borderless.eth is the governance arm and taking inspiration from ENS
  • Doing Magma cohorts every 6 months
    • Late April 2025 next
    • Online feedback sessions every 2 weeks
    • Working on regular podcast to share people’s stories and why what they are building matters
  • Help keep vibe/meme going of having next Devcon in Africa, making progress
