What we are building?
1w3 lets anyone build professional-grade web3sites, seamlessly link them to ENS domains, and easily upload them to decentralized storage platforms such as IPFS or Arweave, guaranteeing the safety, security, and accessibility of their content from anywhere in the world.

Why it matters to ENS?

Creating a decentralized website for an ENS domain can be a complex process, requiring extensive research and technical understanding of concepts such as IPFS, CID, and ENS Content Hash. This can be especially challenging for non-technical users.
To address this challenge, we have developed a product that simplifies the design, build, and publishing process for web3sites on ENS domains.

Some of the key features:

Linktree like Web3site from ENS records:

Generates pre-filled linktree like web3site from ENS records , displaying their avatars, social media handles and other links. Demo

Decetralised Blogs:

Build and manage blogs on the blockchain. It provides users with complete control over their content and design. Platforms like ENS News (https://ensnews.eth.limo) can leverage this feature to build and manage their blog on the decentralised web.

Personal Decetralised Portfolio:

Business Web3Sites:

Wide range of pre-designed website layouts that businesses can choose from to create their own website. The templates typically include a range of customizable modules like features, pricing, about, contact clients etc.

With features like linktree-like Web3site from ENS records, decentralized blogs, personal decentralized portfolios, and pre-designed website layouts for businesses, 1W3 empowers individuals and businesses to have complete control over their content and design on the decentralized web. It simplifies the complex process of creating a decentralized website, thereby enhancing the accessibility, safety, and security of content from anywhere in the world.

Can you provide more information about this capability please? Does a solution exist now, or is it a part of the future roadmap?

Is it comparable to existing solutions with the following functionality?

  • Author / commenter account management
  • Draft + edit posts
  • Mark-up tools
  • content management (categories/tags/etc)
  • subscription management

Thank you. I’ll be in the Ecosystem WG calls to listen, but I won’t be able to talk. If you are planning on presenting during one and could talk more about this capability that would great.

Hey @daylon.eth Please find the answers below.

Author account management

Author account management for decentralized blogs is an important consideration for users of 1W3. Our blogging platform is designed to be 100% decentralized and hosted on IPFS/Arweave. This means that once a blog is published, the platform will generate static HTML files for blog posts.

When it comes to author details, we encourage users to use our editor to add the necessary information manually. This includes the author’s name, bio, photo, and any other relevant details. The editor is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for authors to manage their accounts and ensure that their details are up-to-date.

Comments
Dynamic commenting system implementation in decentralised website is not possible because we need a database to store data and display them. We think users who need comments for the blog post can use web2 comments widget like disqus.com or Facebook comments

Draft + edit posts

1W3 provides a user-friendly editor that enables users to draft and edit their blog posts. As you work on your post, the editor has the option of saving your progress, so you can always return to your work and pick up where you left off. This means that you don’t have to worry about losing your work if you need to step away from your computer.

Once you have completed your post, you can publish it to IPFS. If you need to make further edits or updates to your post, simply return to the editor and make the necessary changes. Your revised post can then be republished to IPFS, ensuring that your content is always up-to-date.

We are also in the process of implementing IPNS in our platform. This feature will enable users to avoid paying gas fees whenever they update their content. With IPNS, users will be able to create a persistent identifier that can be used to access their latest content, regardless of whether it has been updated since the last time they accessed it. This will make it easier and more cost-effective for users to manage and update their content on our platform.

Mark-up tools

A variety of markup tools to help users format and style their blog posts. Our editor supports standard markup languages such as HTML and Markdown, as well as more advanced formatting options such as code blocks.
Using these tools, users can easily add headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and images to their posts. They can also format text using bold, italic, or underline styles, and use blockquotes to call out important information.

If users know HTML they can even write custom code for their blogs.

Additionally, users can preview their content in real-time to see how it will look once it is published.

Overall, our markup tools are designed to be intuitive and easy to use, regardless of your level of technical expertise. Whether you are a seasoned blogger or a novice writer, our editor provides the tools you need to create professional-quality content that engages your readers.

content management (categories/tags/etc)
Users can add or edit categories, tags, breadcrumbs, and more to their blog

subscription management

If the community is interested in the hybrid model, we’re currently developing a hybrid decentralized blogging template that combines the power of WordPress as a backend platform with the advantages of deploying the front-end on IPFS. With our template, users who already have a WordPress blog or website can easily publish a decentralized version of their site.

Our hybrid template offers a range of features, including user management, comments, and dynamic posts. When a user publishes new content on WordPress wp-admin, the changes will automatically update on the ENS frontend. Additionally, our template supports categories listed from WordPress and enables users to search blog posts, among other functionalities.

In the future, we plan to develop our template to include e-commerce functionality using WooCommerce of WordPress. This means that users will be able to collect payments in cryptocurrency through wallet connections, providing a seamless experience for both merchants and customers. We’re excited to bring this innovative solution to the decentralized web, and we can’t wait to see how users will leverage our hybrid template to create their own unique decentralised presence.

Amazing! Thanks for that thorough reply. Do you have any plans to integrate some sort of hybrid functionality for Substack content? That would be great.
