@brantly.eth from https://ethfollow.xyz/
- Thank you for Large Grant!

- Run on L1 and L2
- Ethereum missing social graph, EFP will solve that
- ENS needs social graph protocol to fend off competition from Lens and Farcaster who have own naming service
- Integration demo: https://demo.ethfollow.xyz
- Docs: https://docs.ethfollow.xyz
- Test API: Introduction | EFP Docs
- If have ENS account, people can follow you even if you haven’t joined EFP. No claiming of handles, already have your ENS handle
First draft of smart contracts completed: https://github.com/ethereumfollowprotocol/contracts-beta/tree/master/src/beta
-
Contracts work together ensuring entire graph onchain
- Registry for minting NFTs ERC721 representing the list
- List created onchain
- List metadata stored in separate contract record (L2)
- Construct social graph
-
Read docs.md for Design primitives: https://github.com/ethereumfollowprotocol/contracts-beta/blob/master/src/beta/docs.md
Milestones:
- Indexer up and running in December
- On track to have EFP onchain in Q1, testnet prior to that
Question: Why social graph public? Wouldn’t want private?
Answer: Storing onchain most robust way of storing things, puts user 100% in control. Are benefits to social graph being private, but also interesting when public. Follows, likes, blocks etc. being public sends signal
Note from @Coltron.eth: Excellent job of setting milestones and updating working group as a grantee
SiHer
Kara Howard from SiHer (https://kara.siher.eth.limo/), Web3 talent collective
- Drive visibility for women and non-binary individuals in Web3
- Partnering with EFP so can turn into media network
- Asking for additional grant to bring more diverse individuals and related programs into Web3
- Hosting virtual conference on 31 December; would love for ENS to be core partner along with LivePeer
4. Open space for additional topics
What makes for Public Good stewards for next term?
- Bandwidth and time to dedicate to role
- Context/ willing to investigate history of DAO, culture, and constitution
- Continue and expand on Small Grants
- Elaborate more on Large Grants; build home/front-end; possibly from DAO tooling
- Evalauate and fund more technical projects
- Put strategic / meaty / meaningful objectives in motion (e.g. partnerships, learn from existing initiatives, tracking milestones)
- Set strong expectations within public goods stewards; public goods should consider experimenting without having a lead steward and having focused/shared responsibility (reduce bystander effect)
Will group continue scholarships?
- Most likely won’t continue. Need to do close out post with recipients
Request to make voting process more clear for small grants
- Who has voter card? Requested here: ENS Small Grants - Request a Voter Card
- Process ideally discussed and revised next year
Last public goods meeting of term
- Next week, 12 December
