I think Tally are great and that their product is great. I also think that in the grand scheme the ask is completely reasonable relative to some of the numbers being thrown around in the ecosystem/space more generally.
Governance tooling has two core users - proposers and voters. In my opinion the UX issues and general areas in which governance tooling is lacking are on the proposal end - calldata generation, validation, and integrity checking.
I am unsure where the conversations are ongoing about what tooling is needed, but I am glad they are happening.
This for example seems like a vital and important addition.
I would be interested to see support for in-house initiatives like Making ENS the standard for organizational identity
Have the DAO had the need for support over the past year? Has Tally had significant downtime over the last year? Genuinely curious - I do not know. I am however curious what has changed that needs we are going to need $60,000 worth of support now…
Fantastic. I would support now (or down the line) Metagov requesting more funds to cover things like this if they were not originally considered in their budget.
TL;DR
- I think Tally should be funded for things we actually need on a case by case basis by Metagov.
