I think this is a very important topic that the ens community has been looking forward to for years.

If this passes without the ENS community having talked about it on twitter, this will have very bad consequences on ENS DAO reputation. The ens community is mostly on twitter. The percentage of the community active on the forum is epsilon.

I am personally against this because it sets a bad precedent (next it will be zk.eth x.eth ai.eth etc). The DAO will also miss out on the revenue that could be generated by L2.eth

Why not use layer2.eth? Or l-2.eth? Or l2s.eth Or l2.ens.eth? Or arbitrum.ens.eth optimism.ens.eth? Or L2.ethereum.eth? Or a DNS imported name?

No one deserves to own zk.eth more than the person willing to pay the most for it. And if you want it but can’t afford it you can use zkm.eth , zk.xyz, zk.us or zk.ens.eth

BTW since @nick.eth wanted the zkemail team to own zk.eth they can now register zkm.eth which is in my opinion the best alternative (25 eth premium right now)

Just want to repeat myself. If this is going to pass without community having a say in twitter this will affect the dao reputation. 95% of ens users are not aware this discussion is happening.
