Hi my name is bill.

I am new to web3 and learning as much as I can both through reading and doing. I have been involved in deploying sustainable digital and energy infrastructure in N. America, Europe, Africa, South America and India since 2005.

Most of the companies I worked with, I also founded and led. I got involved in software and data science in 2016, and in late 2018, I joined an infrastructure investing group to deploy sustainable energy infrastructure for data centers and more recently bitcoin mining.

I am very interested in web3 and what can be accomplished through DAO’s, especially as it relates to decentralized infrastructure, security and sustainable energy. I have extensive experience working with all sorts of energy infrastructure and how that can be leveraged here.

I think about the energy infrastructure in terms of long term security, where decentralization should be increasing (the more nodes/miners the better), while also increasing grid independence (nodes/miners should run regardless of grid/utility).

So, in general my interest is in helping to assure the long term security/resiliency of the network (hedges downside risk) while also learning/building/investing in web3 for the long term.
