Having retired from the practice of law, where I managed complex litigation for an multinational insurance company, I chose to retire young, so that I could go and enjoy the freedoms and benefits of being out in nature, as well as pursue my varied interests without the commitment of a job.
I’m an avid hiker and backpacker, with a preference of doing so along the Appalachian Trail, which stretches over 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine. My wife and I lead groups of people on hikes and backpacking trips at no cost; we call our group Peaceful Hikes and More. I also enjoy kayaking and recently have taken a liking to fishing. Not to be all cerebral, I have developed an expertise as an electrician, plumber, and carpenter.
My educational background includes degrees from two top universities, in business management, accounting, and law. I have developed a high level of critical and strategic thinking and negotiating skills, but I recognized that life is to live in the now, because tomorrow may not come. My motto is that if you’re not enjoying the adventure, you’re on the wrong trail.
