ENS name: andreashofmann.eth
My reasons for wanting to be a delegate:
I participate in the ENS ecosystem for a while now and usally came over from the classic DNS due to my age I’m long time admin in the DNS ecosystem and can see the fantastic opportunities the ENS will provide to us, the users. I love the web3 options getting back my identity and I love the integration of the DNS into the ENS making ENS to the top-top-level-Domain in my eyes due to its two-sided feature: content and wallet!
My view on each section of the [proposed ENS Constitution ]
• Name ownership is an absolute right: Agree
• Registration fees exist as an incentive mechanism: Agree
• Income funds ENS and other public goods: Agree
• ENS Integrates with the global namespace: Agree – I see ENS as a kind of an umbrella-domain, being the standard on the Global Namespace in the future.
My web3 qualifications / skills: I have no coding skills beside some old fashioned html and/or php but I’m able to read and understand solidity (in part) and I have a longtime experience in the development of the DNS-space now (25+ years). I have seen the conflicts and problems in the rise of the DNS system and I’m sure I will be able to give reasonable feedback on issues in this regard. I’m more an academic user of the ENS.
