1. ENS Labs Updates

  • L2 primary names proposal is LIVE!
  • L2 primary names should be live in about 8 days!
  • New DAO proposal from Orange Domains, a DNS registry that owns the TLD locker.
    • They want to take ownership of their TLD in ENS so they can make their resolution logic work everywhere in the Ethereum ecosystem
  • You can register a .locker name to try it.
    • You get $5 in BTC if you do it
  • V2 contract and front-end progress is moving along
  • The growth team has started putting out case studies for larger teams using ENS
  • ETHAcra 1-hour online workshop by Greg and Simon.

2. Project Highlights [yodl, Grow3dge Accelerator with SI, ENScribe]

2.1 yodl

  • Yodl is building a payment protocol and decentralized app store for payment-related mini apps, all tied to ENS.
  • They believe ENS will become the DNS for payments.
  • Yodl aims to facilitate payments for both traditional and decentralized systems.
  • They allow users to pay with any token in their wallet at any shop, using local QR codes.
  • Taps into QR codes in countries like Switzerland, Sweden, Vietnam, Brazil, and Argentina.
  • Created payment links where you put your address or your ENS name in it, send it around so that it always works independently of the wallet you’re using.
  • Payment preferences are stored in a text record with the ENS name.
  • Webhooks can be configured in ENS records to notify users when a payment happens.

4. ENSIP Updates

  • Unruggable and JustaName team are working on AI for ENS
  • ensips/ensips/ensip-TBD-11.md at ensip-ideas · nxt3d/ensips · GitHub
    • Standard record that agentic systems can reference in the ENS name
    • Called “root context,” it serves as an index.html for agents to find context about an ENS name.
  • Another implementation uses an MCP server.
  • Prem did a live demo using context from ENS.

5. Space for Service Providers

5.1. Namespace Updates

  • Built a component library that connects to customers.
  • It will allow users to provide a customizable UI.
  • Next is building a customizable wizard for subnames with it.
  • Migrated its infrastructure from DigitalOcean to Google Cloud.
    • Including all 200 ENS names listed on the Namespace platform and 120 Widgets.
  • Built more features into the wizard and set up
  • Built an ENS Raycast extension
    • Looks up any ENS name and displays address, content hash, etc, directly in the extension
    • PR raised, waiting to be merged into the Raycast store.
  • Docs revamp
    • Moved to Mintlify, added AI features, User Journeys, User and Developer guide, API reference, playground, etc.
    • Will be live soon at docs.namespace.ninja
  • Spotlight on the PinMe team who minted 65k subnames via Namespace SDK
  • They have 65,000 content hash records, surpassing the 30,000 of the 1.8 million ENS names.
  • Received over 500 applications; did over 30 interviews
  • Added 3 more people to the team (devrel, growth, full stack)
  • Went to ETHPrague, ETHBelgrade, and ethCC
  • Published a Quarterly Report
  • Shared AI agents.domains whitepaper
