  • Terraform scripts have been shipped to help people run their own ENS node instances
  • A solution is being developed to index resolver record values, which have been very limited in the past
    • This is a foundation for accelerating primary name lookups
    • The goal is to radically accelerate lookups through index data, including cross-chain primary name lookups
    • With a single request, users could get all primary names of an address across all chains
  • Actively recruiting, with job descriptions to be published soon.
  • A referral program might be coming to ENSv1 soon.
  • Feedback was given to provide a cost estimate for running an ENS node
  • Suggestion to create a website for a healing competition
  • The ecosystem could put up a bounty for whoever heals the most

5. Open Space for Additional Topics

  • Community is invited to participate in this investment opportunity: [Temp Check] ENS DAO Investment in OpenBox Inc
  • Brandly will possibly join the next MetaGov call to talk about his proposals for the DAO to do an equity investment in OpenBox Inc.

ENScribe - contract naming improvement

  • Discussion post / proposal overview HERE.
  • Problem: Not all contracts can have a primary name.
  • Solution: extending the current permission logic in the Reverse Registrar contract
    • Give the original deployer of a contract the ability to set a primary name
  • Potential solutions include: oracles, ccip-read, eigen layer, zk proofs, or decoding the deployer from the contract address.
  • Asking for thoughts and feedback from the community.
  • Questions and concerns were raised around decentralization, trust, protocol-level implementation safety, and overall security concerns that need to be addressed.
  • Adding support for new contract types requires DAO approval at the controller level.
  • To explore further:
    • AA deployers
    • Burner/compromised key deployments

5. Space for Service Providers

5.1. JustaName

  • Presenting an XMTP+Base hackathon project
  • XMTP, ENS subnames, AI agents, communication, subscription - themes of the project.
  • Built a small package for devs for implementing this functionality – it’s an extension of the current XMTP client with added logic.
  • The hub is a user-facing platform where users can search for and interact with registered agents.
  • The aim is to allow devs to monetize their work around agents.
  • You need to deposit funds in the wallet and ‘subscribe’ to an agent in order to talk to it.
  • Agents can perform actions like resolving ENS names and charging fees.
  • Chat goes through XMTP, agents and users use Coinbase wallet, built on Base chain, uses Base paymaster, ENS subnames claimed through JustaName infra.

  • Goal: to build vaults for users to store information about themselves
  • Allows portability of ChatGPT history.
  • Users can export their ChatGPT history, upload it to the Memory vault, and use it with anything compatible with MCP.

  • IpeCity’s residents have been creating a city super app.
  • The app is composed of a foundational social and payment layer, with residents building tools and creating a governance app store.
  • The base layer is powered by Yodle (universal payment rails for stablecoins), EFP (for onchain social graph), and ENS (onchain passport and ID)
  • Uses JustaName for subname registrations and resolution
  • Retroactive Grant Proposal.

2.1 POAP Privacy

  • POAP Privacy Minting
  • ETH Global finalist
  • Allows for private minting of POAPs utilising ENS and stealth addresses.
  • Solved the problem of how to properly store two sets of private keys.
  • They are adding the ENS name by the ENS name from the stealth addresses ERC registry.
  • This project works fully on top of POAPs.
  • Next steps:
    • Finish claiming to distribute all of those POAPs.
    • Make the native ENS native implementation of storing the stealth addresses to retrieve it from there instead of the ERC registry.
  • Implementation will be native on the POAP site, offering a private minting option and a page to claim POAPs.

2.2 Lighthouse

  • DAO organizational data onchain using ENS record
  • DAO registry - HackMD
  • Onchain registry to resolve metadata about DAOs (names, descriptions, etc, but also contracts, treasury, wallets and more)
  • Incorporate delegate information and conflict of interest statements onchain.
  • Want to set up a working group to do this.
  • The goal is to involve representatives from DAOs, clients, and vendors to collaborate on the standard.
  • TG to join if you want to learn more or get involved: Telegram: Join Group Chat
  • Next step - Forum post with more details.

5.1 ZK Email

  • Allowing users to use their email address as their ENS name.
  • Users can go to the website, enter their email and address, and receive a confirmation email.
  • Replying “confirm” to the email triggers a process where the exact text of the email is proven in ZK and verified onchain, matching the email to the ENS name for the address.
  • Demo: https://x.com/zkemail/status/1941165670366130195
  • Try it yourself: https://email-as-ens.vercel.app/
    • Confirmation email might take ~10 min at times.
  • ProtonMail is not currently supported
