2.1. YodlPay

  • Integration with local Argentine QR code with Yodl app
  • The app is available in the Play Store.
  • Wallet app, top up stables, pay using QR code.
  • Pay with stables directly via QR codes at terminals.
  • Custom ENS theme available by scanning a QR code within the app.
  • QR code payments are 5-10% cheaper than using a card.

2.2. Cross-chain naming service (CCNS) presentation

  • ENS-powered Walrus site with custom resolvers and Chrome extension.
  • Walrus is a decentralized storage on Sui with a site builder.
  • CCNS allows linking Walrus-deployed sites to ENS domains.
  • Won 3rd place in ENS and first in Walrus at ETH Global New Delhi.
  • ENS supports IPFS, Aarveave, etc.
  • ENSIP / PR will be raised for supporting Walrus, too.

2.3. Subname registrations by Marcus

  • Marcus created a subname registrar on his domain over the weekend.
  • Used AI for self-teaching and building.
  • Did a demo and registered “Argentina” subname on mainnet.
  • Repo for others to view.

5.1. Namespace

Celo Names Announcement

  • Namespace, together with ENS Labs and Celo team, announced the official launch of Celonames.
    • Chain-wide identity naming service based on ENS for Celo blockchain.
  • The project discussions began at ETHPrague.

  • Users can register .celo.eth subdomains on a per-year basis.
  • Pricing varies based on name length, ranging from $1 to $400 USD
  • Payable in different tokens (celo, usdc, usdt, and cusd)
  • Subname registrations using Self protocol verification are free.
  • Users can set up profiles during registration.
  • Default profile images are used if no avatar is uploaded.
  • Features include:
    • record management
    • multiple address support
    • ownership transfer
    • primary name setting
    • profile editing
    • name extension.
  • Setting L2 primary names on Celo will be enabled when ENS Labs deploys the L2ReverseRegistrar contract.

DevConnect

  • Happy (DevRel) will be at DevConnect at both the ENS and Celo booths.
  • Celo is sponsoring a hackathon.
  • Dev docs for Celo names are being finalized.
  • A Telegram support group is available at the bottom of a minting website.

Technical Integration Details

  • Custom integration was created for Celo due to the upcoming ENSv2.
  • This includes custom contracts, gateways, and indexers.
  • The Celonames repo will be made public after cleanup.
