1. ENS Labs Updates
- Big success all around with frENS Day, Devcon, ETH Global Hackathon
- L2 primary names
- Idea is that can set primary names on L2s, full ENS experience without touching mainnet smart contracts
- Currently available on L2 testnets, coming to L2s in the future
- Set name with one signature from the user
- Check out ‘primary names’ in docs for more info: https://docs.ens.domains
- Broad discussion around teams and people needed to coordinate implementation of an update of this size
- No need to migrate anything, L2 primary names are new records not replacing anything
- Each chain has its own reverse registrar
- Before goes live on mainnet will post more information
- Can save text record of every address on every chain

- frENS Day was super cool. Shoutout to everyone involved in lightning talks, lots of enthusiasm for ENS.
- ETH Global announced 2025 hackathons: x.com
4. Open space for service providers
- Blockful team hacked at ETH Global, worked on “renting” ENS names, and won a prize for it
5. Weekly ENSIP Update
