@gregskril

EVM Gateway

EVM Gateway is core infrastructure to ENS. Allows layer 1 smart contracts to read data from layer 2 contracts

Check out the github repo here.

2. Project Highlights

No projects presenting this week

3. Update on the ENS Streams: dates, rules and implementation

  • Please read above post from @avsa
  • @avsa will post more shortly on structure of applications
    • Replying to that thread will be part of the application process
  • Expectations for updating DAO if selected: Minimum expected is to provide readable update every quarter, but ideally on every/every other working group call
  • Idea is not for DAO to ask for something to be built, but to tell DAO what have been building/ what dying to build and why it’s important to ENS
    • Is there a niche ENS DAO isn’t thinking about/aware of? Tell us about it and why you’re the Team to build it!
  • High-level ideas can be found in the Snapshot: Snapshot
  • This is an opportunity for Teams to give full attention to ENS through appropriate funding and support
    • This is an experiment for a year, will re-think based on feedback and effectiveness next year
  • If want to build for ENS but don’t have an idea, reach out to Teams applying to join one of those Teams
  • No explicit rule against submitting 2 proposals, but need to ensure this is divulged in the conflict-of-interest section of the application (along with work as a steward or work in endownment)
    • Want to have broad set of providers and members of the ecosystem

4. Weekly Review of Canny

Engagement and upvoting on Canny are helpful, offering direct feedback to ENS Labs & Working Groups that benefit the ENS protocol. ENS.canny.io includes feature requests, integrations, bug reports, and community upvoting. Read more on the :scroll: Forum here.
