  • ENS Revenue report, noting that the DAO is currently operating at a loss.
  • ETHGlobal New York is happening next.
  • The next official event where ENS Labs will be present is Devconnect!

3. Firefly update

  • Wallet updates and functionality in the Firefly hardware wallet.
  • About a week away from having the initial Firefly quest up and running
  • Firefly Demo:
    • Token transfer features, displaying transaction data, chain ID visibility, data display, and more.

  • How to communicate and display addresses in a meaningful way.
    • Bold first 4 and last 4 digits, along with a checksum section in the middle
    • Address book functionality
  • Firefly displays and will provide the ability to drill down into the data and see more details for increased security.
  • Currently doesn’t have a secure enclave (design choice to streamline the development process).
  • The domain of a website is visible when signing transactions.
  • The focus is on a customizable, developer-friendly, and accessible device.
  • Modability is embraced, encouraging users to add features like GPS chips.
    • Like adding a GPS chip to only sign transactions from a specific location.
  • The aim is to allow others to build upon Firefly and offer services.
  • A landing site with an FAQ is coming soon.
  • Instructions on how to interact with Firefly will be available next week.
  • The Firefly app website will direct users to a quest.
  • The quest is meant to be super easy for anyone to use.
  • Just created a TG community group called “Firefly Sparkles” (thanks Coltron) that anyone can join, was just announced:

4. Fadhil update on the Africa research road trip

  • Blockchain DevFest Update
  • Fadhil proposed a two-month pilot program in Africa to facilitate onboarding in select countries: Uganda, Kenya, Zanzibar, Ghana, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Nigeria
  • Update covers event attendance, hackathons, conferences, and covers topics like tokenization, blockchains, DAOs, policy awareness, careers, etc.
  • Fadil is working on a notion page with access to almost everything, including the accountant report.
