frENS Day

  • frENS Day Tickets live!
  • We’re looking to hold several lighting talks for ENS Service Providers and builders during frENSday 2024. This is an opportunity to demo what you have been building and share exciting updates to all our frENS. Fill put below form to apply!

Gitcoin

  • Participating in Gitcoin grants GG22: https://grants.gitcoin.co/
  • Applications open now and close on 22nd: Gitcoin | Builder
  • Donations open October 23rd
  • Requirements: Live project and growing ENS in some way
    • Projects approved by ecosystem stewards
  • Stewards ineligible to participate but all other projects working on ENS can participate including service providers

3. Octant & PG funding at scale - discussion with Rev and James from Octant

  • @OctantApp | Linktree
  • Octant is an app that helps fund public goods sustainably
  • Stakes 100k ETH and donates yield
  • Spun out of Gollum Foundation
  • Test out if a token and a sustainable source of yield could fund projects and communities
  • What would like to explore between Octant and ENS
    • General community activations (e.g. run events together, matching of grants)
    • Explore something larger (e.g. themed epoch of grants with possible co-matching)
      • Have run four epoch rounds, currently in fifth, haven’t run one with anybody yet but am talking to potential partners
    • Collaborative governance participation
  • Have 1000 users of various participation sizes
    • At least 50% of users participating in each round
  • Started a raffle to encourage participation by funding at least one project in each round
  • Demo Day on 24 Oct: x.com
  • Have big grand vision to build systems allowing for Ethereum to flourish for foreseeable future
  • @simona.eth: Should definitely plan to coordinate before next epoch and meet up at Devcon. Anything could do together in the short-term?
    • James: Imagine could run themed round together, could get tokens to people in ENS who would use them to support funding, not planning another round until 2025
