We have been meaning to post here, on behalf of a small collective of researchers exploring “ETH as a liminal namespace” (eth.et — ETH as a liminal namespace). Basically, we argue that a state and a network can negotiate namespace use (in this case .eth de facto run by ENS).
One of our experiments, ETHLEI, explores the merits of Ethiopia making a bounded claim over the .eth namespace (20 digit LEI names). This is done, hypothetically, on behalf of the world (the GLEIF-administered organizational identity scheme to be precise).
Well, the reason we are posting today is, given the heated discourse around the ENS DAO, we thought Ethiopia may have something to offer the ecosystem.
Look forward to engaging here and X (@ETHLEorg).o
