How to release the ENS domains and get my ether back?

You can reclaim via reclaim.ens.domains by searching your names

I don’t see my domain there

What is the domain you want to reclaim your deposit back?

chai.eth
chaimoney.eth

what do you think?
chai.eth
chaimoney.eth

can you paste a screenshot of what you are seeing? I can see that the owner of chai.eth(which I assume you) have made a few failed transactions to reclaim which means you must be seeing “claim” button to click.

Probably I tried to di this https://medium.com/the-ethereum-name-service/renewing-or-releasing-your-ens-name-e8208445f8e1

umm, how did you manage to press “claim” button when there is no button on the second screenshot?

Actually, when did you register both names? Deposit reclaim is only available for names registered before 2019 May as it was deposit model to lock your ETH which you get back when you release the name. chai.eth is short name which became available in the fall of 2019 by that time we transitioned from deposit model to annual fee model so the fee won’t be returned.

Hi. I bought a domain last week. But i think the name is protected and its better to give it back or release the domain somehow better than having trouble later… Is there any other possibility to make the domain available again?
Thank you

You can either let it expire and not renew it, or delegate control of the domain to another party who wants the domain.
