Notes

1. Weekly Endowment Updates (@karpatkey + @Steakhouse )

  • The endowment is around $77 million.
  • Stablecoins are gaining a share of the portfolio as ETH goes down.
  • Allocated funds are nearly at 100%, with an APR of 3.75%.

  • Waiting til the end of the month before deciding on how to continue with TWAP.

2. General DAO Updates Section

2.1. Updates from Karpatkey [EP 6.1] [Executable] Convert 6,000 ETH to USDC for DAO Operating Expenses

2.2. Service Provider Program

  • Questions were asked about the schedule, timeline, application process, and eligibility.
  • All can be found in this forum post. MetaGov’s Facilitation Plan for SPP2
  • The voting window will be open for five days
  • The goal is to launch the vote on Wednesday (April 9th)
  • It will be a rank-choice voting system
  • Small change in the applications
    • Conflict of interest part (coming on the application template)

2.3. Agora Demo of New Vote Results View

Demo

  • Maz from Agora joined the call to demo the service provider stream visualization.
  • The demo showcases the ranked-choice voting from Snapshot in a clearer way, addressing UI limitations.

  • The UI shows who was a challenger, who was in disfavor, and who wasn’t in the ranked-choice.
  • It also highlights 1 and 2-year streams

  • Tooltips added about ranked-choice voting
  • User flow: votes are cast on Snapshot, and UI visualizes those votes.
  • The goal is to ensure that all votes are made with full knowledge of how the algorithm works.

Ideas for Improving Understanding

  • Providing examples of different outcomes.
  • Showing mock provider selections to see how the results play out.
  • Suggested that delegates should see a difference displayed before they submit their votes, showing the consequences of their changes.
  • This would allow delegates to play around and see what’s going on. Something like a simulation to test
  • Suggestion for office hours with Agora, MetaGov, AvsA, or anyone else about questions for the Service Provider program and voting.
  • Agreed to do it on the first of the month with each MetaGov / Delegate call.

3. Open Discussion

Agora cooking + ask

  • Agora is building their product roadmap over the next year and trying to understand delegate pain points.
  • Looking for people with strong opinions about their governance platforms to chat with them and do some user research.
  • If you want, you can ping @brennan_agora from Agora and have a chat!

MetaGov Plans

  • MetaGov is thinking about ways to put out content that might make things easier, such as videos or simulated selection processes.
  • They will continue to leave space in the calls for open questions and conversations.
  • Thinking about making another small post about any questions, and encouraging people to join the MetaGov calls.
  • Anyone getting ready to submit an application should keep an eye on a small change to the bottom of the application in the conflict of interest statement, which will give them the opportunity to speak more about their financials.
