Suggestion: a search engine that only references .eth websites

interplanetarycompany.eth.link and sshmatrix.eth.link are not yet indexed :wink:

I noticed that the avatar of the indexed .eth.link is the homepage screenshot. Perhaps this should be a fallback and the true ENS avatar (if existent) should replace it. Plus, even if you use the screenshot, the avatar CSS property is set to either ‘contain’ or ‘cover’ which may squish/stretch the screenshot to fit the window width; this looks weird. Probably useful to tip your front-end person to set this property to ‘auto’ and set display property to ‘(inline-)flex’? :yum:

Right. So ‘sshmatrix.eth.link’ redirects to ‘www.sshmatrix.art’ for which we get 404 so our crawler put it on hold.

interplanetarycompany.eth.link has the same IPFS hash as https://inplco.eth.limo/, and as I wrote in the previous comment, “if you make several websites that refer to the same IPFS hash, then only one of them will be visible”. I’ll override it now manually but in general we’re not sure yet how to handle duplicates.

Yes! I agree! Someone actually already suggested the same thing a while back (I don’t remember who tbh), and it’s on our to-do list.

Noted, you’re 100% right. Thanks! :slight_smile:

Hmmm, I checked www.sshmatrix.art again, and I seem to get 404 in some places (including our crawler), but then it works fine from other places - in the same country.

Bizzare.

Unusual and curious :thinking::thinking::thinking:

It is possible that your crawler fails because the page https://sshmatrix.art is not a static page but a web3 hook that pulls data from Arweave and Solana when triggered (unless cached), and it takes a while to load, sometimes up to 15-20 seconds. Basically there is no landing page which the DNS resolves to quickly. That is the only reason I can think of.

https://sshmatrix.art.limo is online now! :heart_eyes: :star_struck:
Thanks!!!

I have made contact with the doyen of English domainers Richard Hearne is a seller on the Efty Platform | Efty I have asked his candid advice regarding the naming of .ETH search engine, so far I have suggested Fi.eth and Lasso.eth.
