I didn’t say the goal was to maximize revenue. But as @lightwalker.eth said here, the revenue is still an important metric to track in order for the DAO to have the financial resources to support all kind of projects to further the adoption of ENS.
Also, increasing revenue was the motivation of the new pricing research piece by @danch.quixote. Why are you replying to me as if I said that we need to maximize revenue?
I think that slightly longer and slightly less memorable is an acceptable tradeoff. (l2s.eth for example)
