[5.13][Executable] Security Council
This proposal aims to safeguard the ENS DAO against malicious proposals and mitigate governance attack vectors. A Security Council, elected through the DAO’s governance process, will be granted the PROPOSER_ROLE
in the time lock, enabling it to cancel proposals (callable only by the Security Council multisig) without the power to initiate or modify other DAO actions.
The scope of this proposal is to assign the PROPOSER_ROLE
to the Security Council contract. This contract will have a time-based expiration, allowing anyone to revoke the PROPOSER_ROLE
after two years. The Security Council will act only in emergencies, such as proposals that violate the ENS constitution or have malicious intent, ensuring a secure interregnums while mitigating risks.
