Following the lead of other major delegates, here is a brief rationale for my vote.
Supported
NameStone
Note: I am the founder of this project. NameStone has onboarded over 200 domains with a wide array of project that are used in production, such as POAP, Burner wallet, and Dynamic. Their focus for year two is turning subnames into identity by fully integrating L2 primary names in to their suite of projects. This is how ENS wins.
Eth.limo
I’ve been a long time support of eth.limo and their team. They quietly add value to ENS day in and day out.
Ethereum Identity Foundation
Their results are undeniable. Time will tell if this is the right model, however given their progress to date, I’m excited by what they will deliver in the future.
ZK Email
Well respected team building interesting tech with high potential upside for ENS.
Web3 Bio
Defacto standard for profiles. Their API powers other projects in the ecosystem. Though I found their ask a bit high and with parts of the budget misallocated, I cannot bring myself to not vote for them.
A note governance tooling
It makes sense that some of the budget goes to this category. That being said it is a category that I believe should make a minority of funding. Though there are other competent teams that have delivered, I cannot see allocating more than 10% to this category.
Agora
This team has been serving ENS for years. I’m excited to see stepped up execution from the team with this additional funding.
ENScribe
Contract naming should be common and easy to do. I’ve been impressed that despite the uncertainty in funding the team has shipped. The budget seems a tad high, however Conor has a solid reputation who I believe will put any excess funds to good use for ENS.
JustAName
This team has shipped quickly! Though their project overlaps with others (including my own), their developers deserve the opportunity to build great things for ENS. I look forward to collaborating with them.
