Why aren't more wallets resolving ENS names to their respective addresses on different chains?

Right now the major ETH wallets are communicating with the Resolver smart contract, which is just calls through infura or geth, basically querying the information directly from ETH nodes, which guarantees an honest response

Is the only reason say, Bitcoin wallets like Electrum, or the ADA daedalus wallet, don’t query the resolver to retrieve my address stored on the ENS contract, the lack of a module that gets them to communicate with the ETH network? Or are there also trust and security issues I’m missing here?

And if so, would it be a good idea to allocate funds to both furthering the development, and marketing involved with getting multiple wallets to start resolving ENS names?
