Delegate links for easy campaigning

We have been surprised and encouraged that so many ENS community members have submitted themselves to be ENS DAO delegates. We’re tweaking our token claim/delegation UI and sorting algorithm to accommodate such a large number.

As another way of helping delegate candidates coordinate support for themselves, we’ve created a delegate link system. Delegates can share with their potential supporters a link using the format below. When token claiming opens on November 8th, those who use a delegate’s link to enter the token claim app will find the delegate pre-selected for them on the delegation page.

ENS Airdrop[ENS name]

For example, I could share the link ENS Airdrop to make it easier for people to delegate to me when they claim their tokens.

We hope delegates make use of this to more easily get support!

would be really great if that link opened some page, like “standby for claim” or smith like this, at least to give some sort of indication that its working correctly, because right now what happens with this link, is that its not leading anywhere and honestly looks like a broken link, that might cause just more confusion

Forward it to my friends and they can entrust me with the tickets directly

So, if I’m understanding this correctly, one can just casually incorporate a URL like https://claim.ens.domains/?delegate=hearsay.eth into conversation and that’ll allow people to more easily delegate? Does it appear more casual and subtle if urls like https://claim.ens.domains/?delegate=hearsay.eth are worked into the conversation as a question?
