Protocol Development
Optimism Resolver
matoken.eth, developer at ENS Labs, is working on the Optimism resolver. This resolver borrows security from rollup-based chains such as Optimism so that users can resolve names stored off-chain without additional trust assumptions.
For more on ENS L2 integration with Optimism, read this.
Name Normalization
Raffy continues work on ENS name normalization, which standardizes ENS names that includes emojis, special characters and more. To keep up with the conversation, check out the ongoing discussion here. For more details on what exactly name normalization is, check out official ENS Documentation which goes in-depth.
