Why do you want to be a Steward of this Working Group?

After 2 years as a DAO member and a Delegate and 1 year as a Service Provider (founder of Namespace), I believe I’m very well equipped with the knowledge and skills for this role.

I continuously bring new opportunities to ENS and onboard new people and projects. My main focus is 1) making subnames easy to use, 2) bringing new integrations and partnerships, and 3) fostering a builder-friendly ecosystem culture.

ENS contributions:

  1. Platform - for subname issuance and management
  2. Namespace SDK - for easily integrating L2 Subname registration in other projects (live on Ethereum, Base, Optimism)
  3. Offchain Subname API - easiest way to start issuing offchain subnames.
  4. ENS Widget - allowing people to issue subnames from their websites
  5. Farcaster frames - enabled subname minting through frames for everyone.
  6. Some integrations - Added ENS support at Web3js, Tatum, and QuickNode.
  7. Some partnerships - Unicorn wallet,
  8. First to launch subname minting on Base and Optimism
  9. ENS white-label solution - building custom Subname registration websites.
  10. Hosted an ENS event and gave a talk - Scaling ENS to 1B users.
  11. Writing about ENS at mirror.xyz/thecap.eth

To say that I learned a lot about ENS (protocol and the DAO) in the last 2 years would be an understatement. I’ve dedicated 12 hours every single day to building cool stuff on ENS, learning about the entire ecosystem and community, and honing my DAO-related skills.

Furthermore, with the Namechain on the horizon, I believe ENS is slowly transitioning into a new (identity) era. The Ecosystem working group will have to expand its approach to include a refined framework of how we think, reach, and cultivate the ecosystem, bring new builders, and increase utility and economic activity.

If I get elected, it would be my pleasure to continue building on top of the great foundational work laid by amazing stewards before me and bring more ideas to the table that strengthen and grow ENS as a protocol, DAO, brand, and soon a chain!

Any other information you wish to share with Delegates (e.g. potential conflicts or existing engagements)?

I’m currently an official Service Provider with Namespace and plan to reapply again. Previously, that hasn’t been a conflict, but if it becomes in the future, I will revoke my Steward application/position.

Why do you want to be a Steward of this Working Group?

I’ve been a follower/user/missionary of ENS nearly from inception! I proudly acquired my first name in 2017, and have helped many others acquire theirs since. I’ve seen dozens of DAOs operate in my role as co-founder of https://sobol.io (DAO management platform) and want to bring that knowledge to ENS. Importantly, I want humanity to take back their digital identity, and ENS is at the forefront of this revolution.

For the past year I’ve had the opportunity to get intimately involved with ENS DAO as scribe, attending and taking notes at all working group calls. As a result, I deeply understand how the DAO functions and the important roles that stewards play to keep ENS thriving. I have been blown away by the quality of work, commitment to mission, and love for the protocol. I want to take this knowledge and apply it as an Ecosystem Steward, further contributing to the growth of ENS globally.

As someone who has attended all Ecosystem calls over the past year, built DAO tooling, studied DAO governance, and worked remotely across time zones and cultures, I feel prepared to take on this challenge. Over my career, I’ve learned that getting a group to tackle challenges comes from listening, rational debate, and leading from the front. As an effective remote worker for seven years, I also understand how to overcome the challenges of working together when not sharing a physical space.

I would be honored to contribute to the legacy of ENS as an Ecosystem steward. My life experiences have given me the skill sets to effectively accomplish the required tasks needed for a successful Ecosystem term. I want humanity to take back their digital identity, and ENS is at the forefront of this revolution.

Why do you want to be a Steward of this Working Group?

Over 3 years of service, my passion for ENS has only accelerated. Being part of a mass movement like universal identity has been an incredible opportunity. Because I’ve been fortunate to serve as an Ecosystem Steward for three terms, I see it appropriate to share my contributions as an advocate, builder, and organizer and let my actions speak for my desire.

Advocate:
I consistently champion ENS across X and Farcaster. Notable initiatives include:

  • ENS Roundups, which provide video recaps of ecosystem developments, achieving 5k+ impressions per episode
  • Hosting “Speed Donating” spaces for teams participating in ENS Gitcoin Grants rounds 20 and 22, where I served as Round Operator.

Builder:
Outside of my steward duties, I’ve launched several projects integrating ENS:

  • ENS Leaderboard: A leaderboard tracking top Farcaster users with .eth names as their fname X
  • GovScore: An onchain accountability system for Optimism delegates that incentivizes ENS adoption by awarding 20% of points for ENS name and avatar usage X
  • WannaBet: A P2P onchain betting platform using ENS for user identification and arbitration, with free WannaBet subname registration
  • JellyBeans: An onchain social guessing game utilizing ENS for leaderboards and winner identification

Organizer:
In addition to Steward, I have served as Secretary, gaining comprehensive knowledge of DAO operations while strengthening our organizational infrastructure through:

I believe my actions show I am someone with the capability to help ENS grow in many ways and I would love the opportunity to serve as steward again.

Why do you want to be a Steward of this Working Group?

ENS is key to providing a better crypto experience to the next wave of crypto users. The world in which ENS is the global naming system is one that I want to live in. By being a Steward, I hope to accelerate the arrival of that future!

As the Lead Ecosystem Steward, I’d like to highlight a few major accomplishments this term, which could not have been achieved without my fellow Stewards, @Limes and @184.eth.

  • Two Gitcoin rounds with over $100k in matching funds delivered to more than 50 projects.

  • Initiation of a $50k drips.network campaign that supported essential projects (ethers, wagmi, graphql and others). This also onboarded talented web2 developers into crypto.

  • Not only did we sponsor half a dozen hackathons, we also worked with ethglobal to make sure that any hacker who wanted an .eth could get one. I must thank Public Goods Working Group & ENS Labs for being helpful collaborators on this initiative.

  • Term 5 grant program that was able to support great projects like fluidkey, web3 bio, and many more!

  • Ensuring the smooth transition to a decentralized subgraph via financial support

I’m eager for the opportunity to build upon the momentum of Term 5 as we transition into Term 6. Thank you for your consideration.

  • resolverworks.eth (NameStone) is a service provider. As I did during this term, I will work with metagov in events where a conflict of interest arises by being a steward and a service provider.
