ENS Working Group Spending Summary - Term 5 Q2 (APR 2024 - JUN 2024)

The goal of this report is to provide a “Cash Basis” spending overview for Q2 of 2024.

Spending
All Working Groups
The USD equivalent of total working group spending for Q1 was $693k. USD price conversions for both USDC and ETH are made at the time the respective transactions occur.
Ecosystem
The Ecosystem working group spent 370,018 USDC and 0.67 ETH during Q2.

Bug Bounty
The USDC sent during the term funded the ENS bug bounty program on Immunifi. Funds do not represent bounties paid but rather the funding of the program.
Hackathons
The Ecosystem Working Group commited to sponsoring the ETH Rome Hackathon, which is occuring October 4-6, 2024.
Grants
The grant spending during Q2 consisted of the Drips Network Campaign, The ENS Identity Round as part of Gitcoin Grants Round 20, a Rolling Grant to Namesys, and a bounty on BountyCaster.
Other
Other expenses encapsulated spending for IRL event sponsorships including ETH Belgrade and an ENS Workshop at Rio Onchain Week, Merch Store expenses, .eth name sponsorship for every ETH Global Hacker, and support.
Meta-Governance
The Meta-Governance working group spent 153,905 USDC during Q2.

Working Group Compensation
The Meta-Governance working group funds compensation to working group stewards, secretary, and scribe as provisioned in the ENS DAO Steward Compensation forum post.
DAO Tooling
DAO Tooling consists of costs associated with tools needed for DAO functions such as automation, voting, and coordination.
In Q2, the Meta-Governance Working Group sponsored token costs for x23ai and AI Delegate who use AI to summarize ENS governance discussions.
DAO Bylaws
In November 2023, The Meta-Governance WG put forth an RFP for the drafting of ENS DAO Bylaws. Payments occurred to Lemma Solutions for work completed prior to being discontinued.
Public Goods
The Public Goods working group spent 108,500 USDC and 15.5 ETH during Q2.

Grants
Public Goods grants were distributed via the Large Grants, Small Grants, and Perpetual PG Bounty programs. Information and recipient reports can be viewed during the Public Goods calls Thursdays at 5pm UTC.
Events & Hackathons
The funds spent in the public goods hackathon budget went to event sponsorship and support for DAO Tokyo and the Latina Blockchain Hackathon.
