:cyclone: ENS Labs Updates

ENS Web Update: June 2023

ENS has been focusing on UX pattern modifications and bug fixes after the successful rollout of v3. They have revamped the primary name setting flow, allowing users to manage or own a name without an ETH record or resolver. The updated flow streamlines the process and optimizes transactions, reducing gas costs. Users now have the ability to unset their primary name directly within the app. The improvements were made based on valuable user feedback, demonstrating ENS’s commitment to user needs. Additional enhancements include adding a primary name tag to profiles, showing if the resolver is from a wildcard lookup, and various bug fixes. ENS is also working on ensjs version 3, which has been refactored to use viem for a simplified codebase.

ENS Labs at the Ledger Development Experience

Core devs are participating at this year’s Ledger developer summit in Vierzon, France. Last year witnessed the emergence of several integration projects resulting from the inaugural Ledger Developer Experience, including the successful integration of ENS into Ledger Live and Ledger devices.

Looking ahead to this year, the team at Ledger eagerly anticipates the opportunity to construct more prototypes and explore the future landscape of wallet technology. A primary focus for the company is to deliver the finest user experience possible, not only for their valued consumers but also for the developers involved. To achieve this objective, Ledger is proud to unveil the new Ledger Developer Framework—an all-inclusive developer environment that remains constantly updated and ensures developers have access to the latest tools and resources.

ENS users can now message directly within Coinbase Wallet. Powered by XMTP and compatible with ethereum addresses like .eth, .lens & cb․id — connect with new people directly through the search function, expanding your social circle and enhancing your networking opportunities. Streamlining DAO Voting

Based on delegate feedback, the Meta-Governance working group will move to consolidate proposals within a voting period. Please note that some proposals are still under review and subject to change. Voting periods will be scheduled regularly, preferably at the end of each month.

Furthermore, anyone with a minimum of 100k $ENS can submit an executable proposal on Snapshot at any time. If a proposal gains popularity in the governance forum, the stewards, along with alisha.eth, will prioritize it for a vote during the designated voting window.
