1. Core Updates
frENS Day
Unfortunately, frENS day at Devconnect has been cancelled but rest assured, it will be coming back in the future!
EVM Gateway
EVM Gateway is critical infrastructure to ENS working on layer 2s as it allows layer 1 smart contracts to read data from layer 2 contracts (Specifically OP Stack Layer 2s)
If you’d like to check out the github repo, it can be found here.
Gasless DNSSEC
Gasless DNSSEC is making good progress towards mainnet deployment!
Gasless DNSSEC allows DNS name owners to use their existing domains in the web3 ecosystem for free. For instructions on how to turn DNS names into ENS on the Sepolia testnet, follow the instructions here.
Note: Not all TLDs are currently supported on testnet.
Ownership Tab
A new tab called the Ownership tab has been added to the ENS App in efforts to make the relationship between owners and managers more intuitive.
Retweet the announcement on X!
2. Project Highlights
eth.limo | @ethlimo.eth
The eth.limo team presented and discussed their DNS integration work on their recent post “Icann-o-Worms” which aims provide trustless, auditable, and cryptographically signed ENS over DNS to bring ENS to parity with DNS.
World Wide Web3 | Ian
World Wide Web3 is an app that allows you to cryptographically sign a message and globally pin it to a map where your ENS name is your identity. Some ideas around travel and proof-of-location were discussed. Currently WWW3 is on testnet and in beta.
