Core Updates

@gregskril

EVM Gateway

Work has been progressing on EVM Gateway.

EVM Gateway is critical infrastructure to ENS working on layer 2s as it allows layer 1 smart contracts to read data from layer 2 contracts (Specifically OP Stack Layer 2s)

If you’d like to check out the github repo, it can be found here.

Gasless DNSSEC

Gasless DNSSEC is making good progress towards mainnet deployment!

Gasless DNSSEC allows DNS name owners to use their existing domains in the web3 ecosystem for free. For instructions on how to turn DNS names into ENS on the Sepolia testnet, follow the instructions here.

Note: Not all TLDs are currently supported on testnet.

The afformentioned releases will have an official announcement later this year in place of frENS Day.

Project Highlights

No Project Highlights this week

Small grants

Small Grants voting is live!

Everyone who voted in the past or is a delegate has a voter card. Every wallet with a voter card has 100 votes and selecting the projects you want to vote for distributes your votes between all the projects you select.

Small Grants uses Snapshot under the hood and, if desired, votes can be distributed there.

Weekly Review of Canny

Engagement and upvoting on Canny are helpful, offering direct feedback to ENS Labs & Working Groups that benefit the ENS protocol. ENS.canny.io includes feature requests, integrations, bug reports, and community upvoting. Read more on the :scroll: Forum here.

Review any upcoming events with ENS involvement
