Public Goods partnered with ETH Global to give hackers ability to register ENS names. Working behind the scenes to make it a seamless experience
Created ‘Hacker Packs’ for hacks in different cities, all onchain
Can only mint pack if successfully written code at ETHGlobal, checks happen automatically
ENS integrated into hacker pack so hackers can redeem as part of pack
Can register or renew an ENS right in the UI of the hacker pack

This year making big improvements to event, hosting in Yucatan near Cancun, expecting 600-800 people and will also be streaming
Also host series of events throughout Mexico to warm up for the big event
Asking for ENS to sponsor and build long-term relationship with the event, will provide transparency report
Eduardo: Need proof of impact (besides attendance, e.g. how impact Mexican community) or a proposal for how will measure impact. Prefer to call it a grant, not sponsorship. Other parts of ENS like Labs would sponsor for marketing purposes

Have had success in the event/club bringing people fully into the blockchain ecosystem
100+ grants last year meant that students who couldn’t afford to attend would be able to attend. Want to increase the ability for people to get grants to travel to and attend the event
Will send 1-pager over to stewards and discuss next steps to move forward
Generally rating projects that have demonstrated impact, large grants not best place for an idea unless team has track record of building high impact projects. Provide as much details/context on application as possible

Update on P256 RFP Precompile Support in the EVM (from Marcus @estmcmxci):
The inclusion of EIP-7212 in L1 is in limbo. To support ENSv2 DNSSEC for 2LDs, the P256 precompile is needed. ENS Labs should guide @ulerdogan’s team on testing. Public Goods Stewards should discuss this in their calls to ensure P256’s inclusion in the next EVM hard fork.
Next week, I (Marcus) will review this in detail and propose some solutions, including potentially forming a focus group to assist with EL testing.
