ENS Service Provider Accountability: Now Live
We just shipped a new feature for ENS DAO: Service Provider Accountability.
Track quarterly reports from all ENS service providers in one centralized view.
Live now: ENS DAO Service Provider Accountability | Governance Transparency — Anticapture
What it does:
A single table showing:
- Provider name, website, proposal link, and budget
- Quarterly report status (Published, Overdue, Due soon, Upcoming)
- Report due dates and direct links to forum reports
Makes it effortless to see who has delivered, who is late, and how providers compare.
Connection to the Metagov Governance Retro:
This feature directly implements Recommendation #2: Transparency & Documentation Infrastructure from the Metagov governance retro published this month.
The retro identified that ENS faces critical decisions around accountability mechanisms and transparency standards, but current governance infrastructure provides insufficient data to make these decisions objectively.
Their recommendation: Build standard documentation practices and a governance data repository that makes budgets, decisions, and outcomes visible and traceable.
This a first step towards that infrastructure. We’re actively working to improve ENS governance based on the retro’s findings, and this is the first step in building the data foundation the DAO needs for evidence-based decision-making. This feature was already in development previous to the retro’s delivery, based on needs we observed from delegate calls.
How to update your report status:
Service providers can update their report status by:
- Creating a GitHub pull request on the Anticapture repo
- Linking your published ENS forum report
- Updating the relevant quarter’s status
This creates a verifiable audit trail and keeps everything community-reviewed.
