Collective Proposal

The Collective Proposal coordinates all DAO working group funding requests into one transparent, consistent proposal. Per Rule 10.1, Stewards must jointly submit during Funding Windows (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct). Each group’s request must first pass as a Social Proposal.

Creation of on.eth for Cross-Chain Registry

A new proposal seeks to register on.eth as the base for a Chain Resolver, enabling trustless, on-chain mapping of blockchain names (e.g. optimism.on.eth). It replaces off-chain lists, supports ERC-7930/7828 standards, and strengthens ENS as Web3 infrastructure.

ENS Q3 2025 Revenue Report

ENS reported $7.18M in total revenue for Q3 2025 — up from $6.28M YoY. The quarter saw $4.5M in registrations, $1.63M in premium sales, and $1.04M in DeFi returns, bringing total annual revenue to $22.1M. August was the strongest month, driven by premium renewals.

ENS Labs Q3 2025 Progress Report

ENS Labs delivered major progress on ENSv2, completing 80% of core contracts and launching the L2 Primary Name App across major rollups. With 1.6M+ active names and new ecosystem integrations, Q4 will focus on audits, migration prep, and DevConnect demos.

ENS DAO Q3 2025 Spending Report

Total Q3 spend: $627K across all working groups.

  • Ecosystem WG: $112,893 USDC + 3 ETH for grants, hackathon sponsorships (ETH Accra, ETH Rome), ENS Cannes event, and Devconnect prep.
  • Meta-Gov WG: $207K USDC for steward pay, ops, and a $60K grant to LighthouseGov.
  • Public Goods WG: $207,678 USDC + 10 ETH funding Vyper, Argot, ICANN advocacy, and builder grants.
  • ENS token distributions: 900 ENS (Ecosystem) and 21,637 ENS (Meta-Gov) via Hedgey vesting.

ENSIP-24 Introduces Flexible Data Resolution for ENS

unruggable.eth announced ENSIP-24: Arbitrary Data Resolution, a new proposal aimed at expanding Ethereum Name Service capabilities. The proposal addresses limitations in current resolver profiles, enabling broader, more adaptable data storage for emerging blockchain applications.

Smart Contract Metadata

Enscribe proposes a new ENSIP to extend ENS for smart contracts with standardized text records + a metadata resolver profile. It enables source code, audits, docs, and licensing info to be linked onchain. Community feedback invited.

A new ENS DAO Governance Documentation Portal now runs entirely on ENS, IPFS, and Safe multisig via Autark CLI. It mirrors the existing Basics site, but every update requires multisig approval—replacing centralized hosting with verifiable, decentralized governance.

RFC: ENS Active Delegation Incentive Pilot

Blockful.eth are seeking comments on a 90-day pilot rewarding active delegates & delegators to boost ENS governance security. Includes time-held weighting, 1 ENS payout floor, and per-address caps. Launching with ENS DAO’s 4th birthday, funded by 90k ENS to drive sustained, active voting power.

Filecoin Pin Launch Demonstrates Decentralized Hosting with ENS + IPFS

Timothy T. unveiled Filecoin Pin, an alpha-stage tool combining ENS, IPFS, and Filecoin for fully decentralized web hosting. Following a $3M DNS hijack in May 2025, he showed how Filecoin Pin enables registrar-free, verified, distributed storage to prevent such exploits.

Ambire Wallet Helps Recover Compromised ENS Domains

Ambire.eth showcased a successful recovery of an ENS domain from a hacked wallet. Users can reclaim ownership by funding Ambire’s Gas Tank, connecting at app.ens.domains, and transferring their .eth name to a fresh address—all without losing access to gas fees or tokens.

Developer Shares Guide to Deploy React Sites on ENS + IPFS

Dhai.eth released a full guide for hosting personal websites directly on ENS + IPFS + IPNS, with automated deployment via GitHub Actions. The tutorial mirrors setups like Vitalik Buterin’s site and demonstrates a modern, censorship-resistant approach to decentralized web hosting.

Alex Van de Sande (avsa.eth) marked a full-circle moment, noting that ENS Day at Devconnect coincides exactly 10 years after he authored ERC-26: Default Ethereum Name Registrar. Though the proposal wasn’t adopted, it sparked collaboration with Nick Johnson — ultimately leading to the creation of ENS.

ENS and Doma Unite Web2 and Web3 Identity

Doma Protocol announced seamless ENS integration, enabling traditional DNS domains (.com, .ai, .xyz) to function like .eth names without DNSSEC or manual setup. Safe App Launches Decentralized Gateway

AdamHurwitz.eth announced app.safe.eth.limo, a fully decentralized interface for Safe, powered by ENS, eth.limo, and IPFS. The gateway removes reliance on centralized servers, allowing users to access and manage their Safe accounts directly through a trustless Web3 domain.

Zamm Deploys DeFi Infrastructure on ENS + IPFS

Ross announced that his DeFi project Zamm now runs entirely on decentralized gateways — zamm.eth.limo, docs.zamm.eth.limo, and wp.zamm.eth.limo. By hosting the DEX aggregator, documentation, and site via ENS and IPFS, Zamm demonstrates a resilient model for sustaining Ethereum dapps without centralized servers.

ENS-Powered Digital Business Cards Debut Ahead of Devcon

AdamHurwitz.eth shared a guide for creating ENS-linked digital business cards ahead of Devcon. Using adamhurwitz.eth.link on IPFS, attendees can connect instantly via QR codes generated through Bitly and customized with GIMP — offering decentralized, portable identity sharing right from the lock screen.

Starting Nov 1, 2025, the ENS Ecosystem Working Group is piloting a $50K Hackathon Expansion Program to boost global ENS presence. It funds in-person events (50+ hackers) with ENS Technical Specialists, travel grants, and up to $10K sponsorships to grow the builder network.

ENS Ecosystem Awards Grants to ENS Data & Frolic

The Ecosystem Working Group granted $10K USDC + 200 ENS each to ENS Data (240M+ lookups, powering PartyDAO & Kiwi News) and Frolic (130M monthly API requests). Both tools enhance ENS resolution speed, Farcaster links, and Web3 app integration.

Autark Introduces Secure ENS-Based Frontend Framework

Autark is a crypto-anarchic DevSecOps framework using Safe multisigs to verify frontend deployments before production. Each version is recorded via ENS subdomains (v1, v2, etc.), ensuring self-sovereign, tamper-resistant updates.

A two-week residency + hackathon in Kesennuma, Japan brought 15 developers from 8 countries to co-build with local government. Backed by ENS, EF, and Curvegrid, the team launched an onchain voting system used by officials, inspiring plans for another event next year.

URBE Campus Expands Ethereum Education in Italy

URBE hosted blockchain campuses in Catania and Bari, teaching AI and coding to diverse students and developers. Backed by ENS, Base, and OnlyDust, the events drew 250+ attendees, produced 65 projects, and awarded over $60K in prizes—fostering Italy’s Web3 talent

Kenya Passes 2025 VASP Bill Regulating Digital Assets

Kenya’s VASP Bill, 2025 officially became law, regulating exchanges, wallets, and stablecoins. Spearheaded by Fadhil and Allan, the bill brings clarity to Africa’s crypto economy—impacting $3B+ in Kenyan stablecoin volume and setting a model for regional adoption.

Agentic Zero Summit Announced for DevConnect

Agentic Zero, a one-day AI × crypto summit, will take place Nov 20, 2025, during DevConnect. Focused on open, permissionless AI infrastructure, the event expects 1,500+ attendees and features keynotes, demos, and panels. Partnerships with ENS are under discussion.

Web3Lagos 2025 Wrap-Up

Modeled after ethCC, Web3Lagos drew nearly 2.5K attendees from Africa and Europe, with 30+ partners, 8 sponsors, and 74 speakers. Attendance was 33% newcomers, 27% builders, and 10% designers, highlighting Nigeria’s growing Web3 scene and rising female participation.
